Running News & Covid-19 – March 2020 (Minisode)
Hello Runners!
How are you? I hope you are all very safe and faring well during these tough and unknown times we all are experiencing with the effects of the COVID-19 virus. Who would have ever thought something like this could happen in this day and age? It has certainly shook up all of our lives and the running world.
In this episode I provide some suggestions how you as a runner can work through, both physically and mentally, the disappointment and frustration of your target race being cancelled. Also I offer suggestions on how you can maintain your running through these trying times, which we all need to do mostly solo due to social distancing. I also talk about what it is like from a Race Director’s point of view, the gut wrenching decisions that they must make, and how you can be of help.
My move from Maui to Denver took me away from my Podcast longer than I anticipated. I am sorry for the gap between episodes and no February news. I’m settled comfortably in Denver now and have my office and studio set up. You can expect some consistency from this point.
I’ll talk about my move, and how I am adjusting to being back on the mainland after eight years on Maui in Episode #23. It will include a great round table discussion with long time runners, and dear friends from the Kihei Wednesday night run group I headed up there.
These are trying times and I would like to hear from you. Feel free to send me an email at jim@feelgoodrunning.com and let me know what is on your mind and if I can provide any advice. I will answer all emails personally. I would love to hear from you and how you are coping with the COVID-19 virus change of life.
