Brittany Charboneau – The Funny Runner!

Hello Runners!

Welcome to summer 2020! We made it!

But wait…summer does not start until Saturday, June 20th. I know, I know, but in my book summer starts Memorial Day weekend!

The past few episodes I spoke quite a bit about COVID-19 and how it has affected the sport of running. I even did an episode on if you should wear a mask or buff while running. Well, I am tired of talking about it. I need to take a break from it and I imagine you do also. So this episode is going to be fun!

Brittany Charboneau is “The Funny Runner” and is also an elite runner! She placed 13th in the 2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials Marathon in Atlanta on February 29th of this year! Her time was 2:33:52 less that 5 minutes from grabbing a spot on the U.S. Olympic Team. She is laser focused for 2024.

Along with being an elite runner, Brittany is a comedian, actor, wife, dirty penny collector, and a running coach. Her Jusband (the name she identifies Justin, her husband), has a new business Sugar Tats Cookie Company! Now Brittany designs her own line of cookies called Rookie Cookies.

You will notice during our conversation that Brittany has a very infectious personality! And yea, she is very funny. She is very genuine. This is a great conversation!

Moving on, don’t forget to sign up for the Virtual Colorado Trail Challange. It starts June 1st and goes through September 3rd. 500 miles in 95 days. Do it solo or as a 2-person relay. I’m doing the relay. And you can do it anywhere; road, bike path, trail, treadmill or your backyard! Make this your summer goal and sign up.
