Refresh, Retool & Peter Sagal

Hello Runners,

The Feel Good Running podcast will be two years old at the beginning of December. That is quite an amount of time in the podcast world. Many podcast’s start up and end just as fast, when it is realized how much work goes into doing an episode.

Being the 34th episode of the Feel Good Running podcast, I feel the current format is getting stale. That said, I am working on freshening things up and retooling! My plan is to amp it down a bit. I’m having a new intro & outro produced so it is not so dramatic and polished. More natural.

Also, as mentioned in Episode 33, I am going to cut the time length of future episodes. With so many podcasts to choose from, I think lengthy episodes are not as appealing unless you are a superfan of the show.

I have some very exciting episodes coming up for you. One that is near and dear to my heart, so much so, I hired a editor/creator to help me with it. This will be my best episode and I know you will enjoy it.

Of course, your suggestions about my podcast are always welcome and needed. You can record a voice message or leave a message at feelgoodrunning.com

This episode is a replay of my conversation with Peter Sagal, host of the NPR News Quiz, Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me and the author of the book, The Incomplete Book of Running. This was recorded in January of 2019.

We had Peter and his wife out to the Maui Marathon (remember marathons?) last October. He spoke at our expo, signed books and took pictures with fans and he ran the Maui Marathon the next day. He said, “That was Tough” but was very happy. He then enjoyed a wonderful week with his wife on Maui. Peter is a true gentleman. You will enjoy the conversation if you have not heard it.

I hope to have the retooled new episode out in a few weeks. Be on the lookout for it and please share the podcast on your social media platforms. And you can subscribe to Feel Good Running on Apple Podcasts. And if you do, please leave a rating. That helps very much!

Keep on running!

~ Jim
