What’s Your Running Routine during this Pandemic? (MiniSode)

Hello Runners!

How are you? Are you doing ok and getting through this pandemic as best you can? Our lives have changed for sure, and self distancing and self isolation is surely difficult especially since we never experienced anything like this in our lifetime. But we will get through it! Keep the faith.

We are fortunate as runners to be able to still go outside and run. There are many runners who are doctors, nurses, police officers, pharmacists and many first responders who are putting their lives on the line to save lives. There are grocery store workers and employees in essential businesses who must work in the general public and are also potentially exposed to the COVID-19 virus. We thank each and every one of you.

In this episode, I’m reaching out to the running community. What are you doing to keep your running and fitness up? Is it getting harder to stay motivated? What is your routine? We can motivate each other. I am starting a forum where you can do just that. It is important that we communicate during this time.

Go to FeelGoodRunning.com and on the main page is a tab to click which gives you the opportunity to record up to a five minute audio message. Let us know what your running routine is like during this pandemic. Feel free to say a few words about what else you are doing to keep yourself busy such as movies or TV shows you are watching, family activities you are doing or even a project you have put off until now.

Don’t worry about messing up. I will edit pieces out of what you submit and include them in upcoming episodes. If we get good participation, I will get out two episodes a week as we go through this. This is all about you sharing with other runners! These episodes will be about 15 minutes in length.

I really hope you will participate and share this with your running friends so they can send a voice message themselves. Let’s start something here that is positive, inspiring and motivates us all! When you leave your message, please say your first name and where you are from.

Please be safe, wash your hands, wear your mask and stay 6 feet from everyone. Stay healthy and let’s hope life gets back to normal soon!

~ Jim
